Description

This jadeite bangle is carved in a classic circular form, a shape long associated in Chinese culture with continuity, protection, and completeness. Its restrained profile and even proportions give the piece a quiet elegance suited both to wear and to a collection of jade and hardstone objects.

The stone presents a vivid green tone with gentle variation across the surface, together with a pleasing translucency that allows light to move softly through the body of the material. The polish is smooth and even, reinforcing the clarity of the form and the material presence of the jadeite.

Bracelets of this type have long been valued not only as adornment, but also as objects associated with refinement, auspicious meaning, and personal attachment. Their appeal lies in the relationship between material, color, and the unbroken circular line.

This example is offered in Qing style. The dating and attribution should be understood as careful opinion based on visual assessment rather than absolute certification.
